Continuing from last year, and hopefully improving upon, we are going to have dedicated Club Days on the first Sunday of the month, starting in May. So mark 6th May in your diary and get along to Belhaven for some surf, games, beach clean and bbq. This is a family event, so bring kids along as there'll be loads they can do.
As you are hopefully aware by now, Belhaven Surf Club are joint sponsors, along with C2C, of Belhaven beach. This adoption involves cleaning a stretch of beach and recording any rubbish we collect. We're going to carry out our first clean up on club day, so more people that help the quicker we get done!

Stop East Lothian Car Park Charging
|
East Lothian Council is intending to levy all year round charges at its 13 beach car parks across the county. This is proposed to come into force in June 2007. The implementation of these charges will discourage people from East Lothian and beyond from enjoying this wonderful natural asset and will most penalise those who cannot afford the charges.

British Surf Museum visits Aberdeen
|
The Surfing Museum's popular exhibition of British surfing history is now at Aberdeen Maritime Museum in Scotland.
The highlight of the Oxbow sponsored show is perhaps a replica of an ancient wooden surfboard ridden by a Hawaiian - Scottish princess.
It's the first ever surf history exhibition in Scotland.
Our museum in Brighton is closed while we are on national tour during 2006.
